About The Role

The Associate Technical Architect - Data at Quantiphi is a strategic role responsible for leading the design, architecture, and implementation of large-scale data platforms on AWS. This role requires a seasoned qualified with extensive experience in building enterprise-grade data lake, lakehouse, and data warehouse solutions. You will serve as a technical leader, guiding cross-functional teams through complex projects, ensuring best practices in architecture, security, performance, and cost-efficiency. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the data landscape of our clients, enabling them to harness the full potential of their data assets. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions, mentoring team members, and driving innovation in cloud data engineering practices.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess over 8 years of experience in designing and deploying enterprise-scale data solutions on AWS. A strong background in cloud-native data architecture, data engineering, and hands-on technical skills is essential.



Certifications such as AWS Solution Architect (Associate or Professional) or AWS Data Engineer are preferred. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in SQL, Spark/PySpark, Python, and modern data platform technologies. Experience with Lakehouse architectures, particularly using Apache Iceberg, and familiarity with AWS services such as EMR, S3, Athena, Glue, Aurora PostgreSQL, Lambda, and others is required. Strong understanding of data modeling, distributed processing, and security best practices is critical. Leadership experience in managing global engineering teams, conducting architecture reviews, and mentoring developers will be highly valued.

Responsibilities

- Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of enterprise data platforms on AWS, including architecture, development, and deployment.
- Develop scalable, secure, and high-performance data pipelines for batch and streaming data processing using AWS native services.
- Architect Lakehouse solutions utilizing Apache Iceberg, ensuring optimal performance and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
- Mentor and guide engineering teams, conduct code and architecture reviews, and promote best practices in data engineering and cloud architecture.
- Optimize Spark/PySpark jobs and data storage solutions for performance, scalability, and cost management.




- Design and implement orchestration workflows using tools like Apache Airflow or AWS Step Functions.
- Ensure security, compliance, and data governance standards are integrated into all solutions, leveraging AWS IAM, encryption, and monitoring tools.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve data platform capabilities.
- Provide technical leadership during project planning, execution, and support phases, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
