Job Description

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor and prevent Hospital Acquired Infections (HAIs) such as CAUTI, CLABSI, VAP, and SSI.
- Conduct daily infection control rounds in wards, ICU, OT, OPD, and other clinical areas.
- Ensure compliance with hand hygiene, PPE usage, biomedical waste management, and isolation protocols.
- Collect, analyze, and maintain infection surveillance data and prepare reports.
- Implement infection control policies and SOPs as per NABH guidelines.
- Conduct infection control audits, inspections, and environmental surveillance.
- Coordinate with microbiology, nursing, housekeeping, CSSD, and clinical departments.
- Train and educate hospital staff on infection prevention practices and aseptic techniques.
- Monitor sterilization, disinfection, and cleaning procedures across departments.




- Investigate infection outbreaks and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain documentation related to infection control activities and committee meetings.
- Participate in NABH audits, quality initiatives, and hospital accreditation activities.

Qualification

- GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing
- Certification or training in Infection Control preferred
- Valid Nursing Registration
