Hydrological Analysis & Technical Review Assist in Modeling & Analysis: Conduct preliminary hydrological and hydraulic calculations for rivers, canals, bridges, culverts, and flood control structures under senior guidance. Data Verification: Review, validate, and organize topographical survey data, GIS data, bathymetry, and baseline hydraulic parameters. Risk Assessment Support: Assist in estimating local water resources and assessing potential flood risks to inform structural designs and water management plans. 2. Design Support, BOQs & Technical Documentation Technical Drafting & Inputs: Help prepare design inputs, structural layouts, and cross-section drawings for water-retaining structures. Cost Estimation & BOQs: Draft preliminary Bills of Quantities (BOQs), material take-offs, and cost estimates for hydraulic projects. Reporting: Draft technical compliance reports,
site inspection notes, and monthly project progress updates. 3. Field Supervision & Quality Assurance Site Operations: Supervise day-to-day site execution, ensuring that concrete, earthworks, and lining for canals and structures adhere to approved engineering drawings. Standards Compliance: Enforce adherence to project Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC), safety regulations, and environmental mitigation protocols. Issue Escalation: Identify construction discrepancies or hydraulic engineering challenges in office and report them to senior engineers for immediate resolution. 4. Stakeholder & Liaison Coordination Inter-agency Collaboration: Coordinate with design consultants, subcontractors, and internal engineering teams to clarify technical design intents. Government Approvals: Assist in gathering baseline data and preparing submission packages required for statutory approvals from local water boards and government departments.
