Design and execute test cases covering the complete card onboarding journey, from application initiation through to card issuance.

Validate onboarding flows separately for Islamic and Conventional card products, ensuring Shariah-compliant journey variations are correctly handled.

Test credit approval rules and policies applicable to card onboarding, including UAE-specific frameworks such as the Al Etihad Credit Bureau (AECB) credit policy checks.

Verify credit score retrieval and evaluation logic against AECB and ensure correct approval/decline outcomes based on policy thresholds.

Test compliance checks including verification against bad debt history, default history, and fraud records.

Validate screening against negative/blacklist databases maintained by the bank and the Central Bank of the UAE for customer name and identity verification.

Test the various card types and card variant eligibility rules applied during onboarding.

Collaborate with business analysts and developers to clarify onboarding stage logic, decision rules, and exception handling.

Log, track, and retest defects through to closure, and contribute to test strategy and test data preparation.
