Graphic Designer job description: –

We are looking for a Graphic Designer to create engaging and on-brand graphics for a variety of media.

Directly responsible for the overall design and illustrative/graphic /visuals for use in exhibition display or

department/ publications, scholarly work and professional journal. Serves as principal coordinator for

graphic publication production while managing to a prescribed budget. Works collaboratively with the

department head and/or contributing authors to realize a final product.

Responsibilities

- Study design briefs and determine requirements.

- Creation of effective and efficient show-marketing graphic designs and participate in communications with

client and liaisons, as appropriate.

- Schedule projects and define budget constraints

- Conceptualize visuals based on requirements

- Prepare rough drafts and present ideas

- Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand

- Use the appropriate colours and layouts for each graphic

- Work with copywriters and creative director to produce final design

- Test graphics across various media





- Amend designs after feedback

- Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand

- Assists in the collaboration and work provided by outside vendors, media outlets and marketing

alliances.

- Assists Marketing department with other duties as assigned by the Marketing Manager.

- Participates to insure institutional and non-profit mission marketing objectives are met and

integrated via shows, partners, residents, and activities.

Requirements: –

- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field required.

- 2 years design experience required.

- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite required.

- Proven graphic designing experience.

- A robust portfolio of illustrations or other graphics.

- Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver,

Photoshop).

- Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines.

- Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus.
