Job Purpose

To verify, check, and certify civil contractor bills, vendor invoices, and project-related measurements to ensure accurate payments, compliance with BOQ, work orders, contracts, and approved rates.

Key Responsibilities

- Bill Verification
- Check contractor RA (Running Account) bills and final bills.
- Verify quantities against Measurement Books (MB) and site records.
- Ensure billed items match approved BOQ and work orders.
- Check arithmetic accuracy of bills.
- Measurement & Quantity Checking
- Review site measurements for civil works.
- Verify quantities of concrete, brickwork, plaster, flooring, steel, waterproofing, painting, etc.
- Coordinate with site engineers for clarification on measurements.
- Rate & Contract Compliance
- Check rates as per contract, BOQ, and approved variations.
- Verify extra items and deviation statements.
- Ensure proper approval for non-BOQ items.
- Documentation
- Maintain billing records, abstracts, and reconciliation statements.
- Prepare bill checking sheets and payment recommendations.
- Track advances, recoveries, retention money, and deductions.
- Coordination
- Liaise with contractors, site engineers, project managers, and accounts.
- Resolve billing discrepancies and measurement disputes.
- Support audits related to project billing and payments.

Required Qualifications

Education

Required

- Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Civil Engineering
- Additional certification in Quantity Surveying or Billing will be an advantage

Experience

Relevant Experience

2–7 Years

- 2–7 years of experience in civil billing, quantity surveying, or contractor bill verification




- Experience in commercial buildings, industrial projects, residential projects, or infrastructure projects preferred
