Purpose of the Job

To provide accurate eye examinations, prescribe appropriate vision correction, assist patients in selecting suitable eyewear, and ensure excellent patient care while supporting optical sales.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and refraction.
- Prescribe spectacles and contact lenses based on patient needs.
- Interpret prescriptions and recommend suitable lenses and frames.
- Educate patients on eye care, lens options, and proper eyewear use.
- Assist patients in selecting frames that suit their vision and lifestyle.




- Ensure accurate fitting, dispensing, and adjustment of spectacles.
- Maintain patient records and update clinical documentation.
- Coordinate with ophthalmologists for further evaluation when required.
- Achieve optical sales targets while maintaining high patient satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of optical equipment.
- Follow hospital policies, quality standards, and infection control guidelines.
- Participate in training and continuous career development.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor of Optometry (B.Optom)
- Valid registration/licensure as applicable.
