Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated, agile, and qualified Assistant Professor for Law, Political Science, English, Sociology, Economics, Hindi, Geography, Chemistry, Computer Science, Commerce, Management, Education, Pharmacy to join our faculty team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality undergraduate and/or postgraduate lectures, mentoring students, contributing to curriculum development, conducting research, and actively participating in departmental and college-level administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

1. Teaching & Academic Instruction

- Prepare and deliver well-structured lectures, practicals, and tutorials to undergraduate/postgraduate students as per university curriculum.
- Adopt innovative teaching methodologies, including smart classrooms, LMS (Learning Management Systems), ICT tools, and interactive learning techniques.
- Design assessment tasks, set question papers, evaluate answer scripts, and conduct viva/practical examinations.
- Guide students through academic projects, seminars, research assignments, and internships.

2. Research & Academic Growth

- Conduct original research and publish papers in peer-reviewed, UGC-CARE listed, Scopus,



or Web of Science indexed journals.
- Participate in and organize national/international seminars, conferences, workshops, and faculty development programs (FDPs).
- Apply for research grants and funding from UGC, DST, ICSSR, or other government/private organizations.

3. Student Mentorship & Support

- Serve as a class teacher or mentor, offering academic and career guidance to students.
- Counsel students on personal and academic challenges, monitoring their progress and attendance.
- Encourage and assist students in co-curricular, extra-curricular, and cultural events.

4. Administrative & Institutional Contribution

- Participate actively in various college committees (e.g., IQAC, NAAC preparation, Examination Cell, Cultural, Sports, Placement, or R&D; Committee).
- Assist in organized academic planning, admissions, and institutional events (e.g., college fests, guest lectures, industrial visits).
- Maintain accurate academic records, attendance registers, and continuous assessment logs.

Required Qualifications & Eligibility Criteria

- Educational Qualification:
- Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade on a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) in [Law, Political Science, English,



Sociology, Economics, Hindi, Geography, Chemistry, Computer Science, Commerce, Management, Education, Pharmacy] from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. (5% relaxation applies for SC/ST/OBC/Differently-abled categories as per UGC norms).
- Mandatory Test Requirement:
- Cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC/CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC like SET.
- (Exemption: Candidates who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009/2016 shall be exempted from NET/SET).
- Language Proficiency: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English [and regional language, e.g., Marathi/Hindi, if applicable].

Preferred Skills & Experience

- Experience: [0–3 years] of teaching experience at the degree college level. Freshers with strong academic records and research backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.
- Technology: Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, online teaching platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, Teams), and LMS tools.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills with a passion for higher education.
