Forward Deployment Engineer (FDE): The FDE is a critical, multi-faceted role that bridges the gap between the Company’s core engineering teams and its key end-customers. FDEs are technical experts who play an instrumental part in the successful deployment, integration, and adoption of the ISV’s sophisticated products within an end-customer’s specific use cases.
- Lead end-to-end deployment of products in customer environments
- Understand customer use cases and translate them into technical solutions
- Configure, customize, and integrate products based on client requirements
- Collaborate with engineering teams to relay feedback and drive product improvements
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during deployment and post-implementation
- Build proof of concepts (POCs) and demonstrate product capabilities to customers
- Ensure smooth onboarding, integration, and adoption of solutions
- Act as a technical advisor and primary point of contact for customer engagements
Requirements
- 3–8 years of experience in software engineering, solutions engineering, or similar roles
- Strong programming skills in Python / Java / JavaScript (Node.js)
- Experience with APIs, system integration, and distributed systems
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Knowledge of databases (SQL / NoSQL) and DevOps tools (Docker, CI/CD, Kubernetes)
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to work in customer-facing, fast-paced environments
- Self-driven with a solid sense of ownership and accountability
- Willingness to travel for client engagements (if required)
