Sri Meenakshi Metals is looking for a Design Engineer – Sheet Metal & Laser Cutting with experience in sheet metal product design and manufacturing.

The ideal candidate should be able to design sheet metal components and assemblies, prepare production drawings, create laser cutting nesting layouts, and provide technical support to the production team.

Responsibilities

- Design sheet metal components and assemblies using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Create nesting layouts for CNC laser cutting using software such as Metalix, SigmaNEST, OmniWin, or similar.
- Develop current products and improve existing designs.
- Prepare production drawings and NC files.
- Prepare bending drawings and provide technical support for CNC press brake operations.
- Perform reverse engineering from customer drawings or sample components.
- Coordinate with the production team to ensure accurate and efficient manufacturing.
- Identify and resolve design and production-related issues.

Requirements

- Minimum 1 year of experience in sheet metal design.




- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Experience with nesting software such as Metalix, SigmaNEST, OmniWin, or similar.
- Good understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes, including laser cutting, CNC press brake bending, welding, and rolling.
- Ability to read, prepare, and interpret engineering drawings.
- Basic knowledge of GD&T; and the use of measurement instruments is preferred.
- ITI / Diploma / B.E. Mechanical (preferred but not mandatory).

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹36,000.00 per month
