- Perform in‑process quality control inspections at various stages of semiconductor manufacturing.
- Follow established quality control procedures to identify defects and deviations in manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to address and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.
- Conduct statistical data collection and support root cause analysis to identify quality trends and improvement opportunities.
- Monitor and evaluate production processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and maintain quality documentation, including inspection records and quality reports.
- Work closely with production teams to provide real‑time quality feedback and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct regular audits to check adherence to quality control procedures and work instructions.
- Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality control procedures and best practices.
- Support cross‑functional teams to integrate quality control requirements during current product introduction (NPI).
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Materials Science
- Or a related technical field
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the semiconductor industry.
- Hands‑on familiarity with backend semiconductor processes such as:
- Wafer taping and detaping
- Wafer backgrinding
- Wafer sawing
- Laser grooving
- Die attach
- Plasma cleaning
- Wire bonding
Technical Skills
- Hands‑on experience using quality control tools, including:
- SPC
- FMEA
- MSA
- 8D
- 7 QC tools
- Experience performing and evaluating:
- Wafer thickness and roughness measurements
- Bond line thickness measurements
- Die shear testing
- Wire pull testing
- Ball shear testing
- Ability to assess product quality as per defined specifications and requirements.
