Key Responsibilities

1. Current Product Development

- Study customer drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.
- Plan and execute new product development for forging and machining components.
- Prepare process flow for forging, heat treatment, machining, and finishing operations.

2. Process Planning

- Prepare forging process sheet and machining process plan.
- Decide raw material grade, forging weight, trimming size, machining allowance.
- Coordinate with tool room for die development and modification.

3. Trial & Development

- Conduct forging trial and machining trial for new parts.
- Monitor first sample production and solve technical issues.
- Improve process parameters to achieve required quality.

4. Documentation

- Prepare and maintain:
- Process sheets
- Control plans
- Trial reports
- Development reports
- PPAP documents (if required)

5. Cross-Department Coordination

- Coordinate with Design, Production, Quality, Purchase, and Maintenance departments.
- Work with Quality team for inspection standards and sample approval.

6. Cost & Time Control

- Support cost estimation for new parts.




- Ensure development within timeline and budget.

7. Continuous Improvement

- Suggest process improvements to increase productivity and reduce rejection.
- Implement lean manufacturing practices in development stage.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of forging process, die design basics, and machining operations (CNC/VMC)
- Understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T;
- Knowledge of heat treatment, shot blasting, trimming, and finishing
- Familiar with quality tools (PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan)
- Good problem-solving and coordination skills

Qualification

- Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering / Metallurgy

Experience

- 2–5 years experience in Forging and Machining Manufacturing Unit

Experiance :-

- 1 To 3 Year
