Job Summary

Buildex is seeking a Purchase Executive with experience in the "steel industry" to manage procurement, vendor coordination, inventory planning, and logistics operations for steel products. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely procurement, competitive sourcing, efficient transportation, and uninterrupted availability of steel materials to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Source and procure steel products, including TMT bars, structural steel, MS pipes, sheets, coils, plates, and related materials at competitive prices.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with steel manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
- Raise purchase orders and monitor order execution until material receipt.
- Coordinate transportation, dispatches, and logistics activities to ensure timely deliveries.




- Track steel market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supplier performance.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing carrying costs.
- Maintain accurate procurement, stock, dispatch, and logistics records.
- Coordinate with sales, warehouse, accounts, and operations teams for seamless material flow.
- Analyze procurement and logistics costs and identify opportunities for savings and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and documentation requirements.
