Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled CMM Operator cum Programmer with a minimum of 2 years of experience in operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM). The candidate will be responsible for dimensional inspection, CMM programming, measurement analysis, quality documentation, and ensuring components meet engineering drawings and specified tolerances.

The ideal candidate should have practical experience with CMM machines, inspection software, GD&T;, and engineering drawings.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and program CMM machines for dimensional inspection of components.
- Develop and modify CMM inspection programs as per engineering drawings and customer requirements.
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspection.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T; requirements.
- Conduct dimensional measurement and inspection of precision components.
- Prepare inspection reports and maintain quality records.
- Identify dimensional deviations and support root-cause analysis.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
- Perform calibration checks and ensure proper handling of CMM equipment.
- Maintain inspection data and documentation.
- Follow company quality procedures and safety standards.

Required Technical Skills





- Minimum 2 years of experience as a CMM Operator / CMM Programmer.
- Hands-on experience in operating and programming CMM machines.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of tolerances, datum systems, and measurement techniques.
- Experience with precision inspection and quality control.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments such as:
- Vernier Caliper
- Micrometer
- Height Gauge
- Bore Gauge
- Dial Gauge
- Profile Projector
- Other precision measuring instruments

CMM Software Knowledge

Candidates with experience in any of the following CMM software platforms are preferred:

- ZEISS CALYPSO
- ZEISS CALYPSO Planner
- ZEISS CALYPSO PCM
- ZEISS CALYPSO Curve
- ZEISS CALYPSO Freeform
- ZEISS CALYPSO VAST Navigator
- PC-DMIS
- Hexagon PC-DMIS
- QUINDOS
- PolyWorks Inspector
- Mitutoyo MCOSMOS
- MCOSMOS GEOPAK
- MCOSMOS CAT1000S
- MCOSMOS SCANPAK
- Renishaw MODUS
- CMM-Manager
- Aberlink APEX
- Mitutoyo GEOMeasure
- Nikon/CMM inspection software
- Other equivalent CMM programming and inspection software

Candidates with strong experience in ZEISS CALYPSO, PC-DMIS, or other major CMM software are highly preferred.

Educational Qualification

- Diploma / ITI / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant technical experience in CMM operation and programming will also be considered.
