Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Technical Editor to join our team. As a Technical Editor, you will be responsible for ensuring that technical and scholarly content is accurate, consistent, and clear while adhering to relevant style and formatting standards. The ideal candidate will possess excellent editing skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with authors, production teams, and other stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

Independently edit and proofread scholarly manuscripts for clarity, accuracy, and style compliance.

Review complex formatting issues in text, figures, and tables.

Ensure accuracy of references, citations, and scientific data.

Apply advanced knowledge of style manuals (e.g., AMA, APA, Chicago, etc.).

Perform high-level quality control on peer-reviewed journal articles.

Liaise with authors, typesetters, and production teams to resolve content queries.

Mentor or train junior editors/trainees as needed.

Manage multiple projects and meet strict turnaround times.

Skills Required

Excellent command of written English with strong grammar and style sense.

Proficiency in using advanced publishing tools (MS Word macros, PDF editors, XML editors, etc.).

Strong understanding of style manuals and academic publishing standards.

Ability to work independently and handle complex editing tasks.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Experience in communicating with authors and production teams.

Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor's or Master's degree

2–5 years of experience in technical, academic, or scientific editing.

Proven track record of editing peer-reviewed journal content.

Shift & Schedule: Day shift, Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. (Work from Office)
