Job Summary:

Sree Jayam School is looking for a passionate and organized Librarian to manage our school library and foster a love for reading and learning among students. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of library systems, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to engage students across age groups.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Manage and maintain the school library’s collection (books, digital resources, periodicals).
- Assist students and faculty in locating and using resources effectively.
- Promote reading through library activities, reading programs, and book clubs.
- Organize and catalog books and resources using library management software.
- Ensure proper circulation, issue, and return of library materials.
- Guide students in research and project work.
- Maintain a quiet, welcoming,



and educational library environment.
- Coordinate with teachers to support curriculum needs.
- Keep records of library inventory and prepare reports as required.
- Stay updated with recent publications and educational resources.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Library Science or related field.
- Prior experience in a school setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in library management systems and digital tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for reading and education.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
