R&D; Engineer

Location: Santej, Ahmedabad

Job Summary:

The R&D; Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and improvement of MilkoChill and other cooling systems, including the thermal storage-based Bulk Milk Cooler, and related components. The role focuses on enhancing product performance, reliability, efficiency, and innovation while supporting multiple R&D; projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop milk cooling systems, thermal storage, and related components.
- Perform thermal calculations for system optimization.
- Conduct factory and field testing of prototypes and existing products.
- Analyze test results and recommend design improvements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for performance, energy efficiency, and reliability.
- Develop and validate new concepts and technologies for cooling and chilling applications.
- Prepare technical documentation, specifications, and test reports.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and service teams for design validation and troubleshooting.
- Support root cause analysis of field failures and implement corrective actions.
- Provide technical support to the sales, service, and installation teams for suitable site selection for product installation and demos.




- Manage and execute multiple R&D; projects as assigned.
- Support structured knowledge-transfer handover during onboarding to build independent ownership of ongoing R&D; projects and field-testing responsibilities.

Qualifications & Skills:

- BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in refrigeration, cooling systems, heat exchangers, or thermal systems.
- Strong understanding of heat transfer, refrigeration cycle, and thermal storage.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems such as inverters, batteries, and control panels.
- Hands-on experience with testing and validation.
- Ability to read technical drawings and documentation.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Positive communication and teamwork skills.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
