Your work profile

- We are looking for a Senior SDET with 8+ years of experience and strong expertise in Java-based API automation, deep understanding of API engineering fundamentals, and proven experience in testing microservices-driven systems within retail banking environments.
- This role is suited for engineers who go beyond executing test scripts—those who understand system behaviours, validate integrations end-to-end, and take ownership of quality outcomes.

- Validate end-to-end service interactions and integrations
- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and participate in defect triage
- Collaborate with backend, payments, cloud,



and product teams
- Contribute to test strategy, planning, and execution
- Continuously improving automation coverage and quality practices

Must-Have Skills

- 8+ years of experience in SDET / QA Automation roles
- Strong programming expertise in Java (mandatory)
- Hands-on experience with API automation tools:
- REST Assured (primary)
- Postman / Newman (supporting only)
- Karate (positive to have)
- Experience testing API-first and microservices architectures
- Strong understanding of:
- Service contracts
- Mocking and stubbing
- JSON / XML validation
- API schema validation
- Integration testing patterns
- Domain exposure to Retail Banking:
- Accounts, payments, cards, onboarding, transactions
- Experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Git, Maven/Gradle
- Strong debugging skills using Linux, logs, backend tracing
- Strong understanding of API fundamentals:
- Endpoints, payloads, status codes, authentication

Good to Have

- Experience in test planning, reporting, and quality tracking
- Familiarity with banking regulatory and compliance testing
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber) and reporting tools (Allure, Extent)
- Basic experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, k6)
- Understanding of API security:
- OAuth2, JWT, certificate-based authentication

Education

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
