Job Description:
- Keep records of circulation and materials.
- Supervise budgeting, planning, and personnel activities.
- Check books in and out of the library.
- Code, classify, and catalogue books, publications, films, audio-visual aids, and other library materials based on subject matter or standard library classification systems.
- Direct and train library staff in duties such as receiving, shelving, researching, cataloging, and equipment use.
- Develop library policies and procedures.
- Organize the book fair.
- Ensuring that library services meet the needs of groups of users (eg staff, students).
- Responsible for organizing and managing collections of journals, books, magazines, newspapers, electronic documents, and other data resources.
- Responsible for conducting story time lectures at primary level.
- Guide the students to get material of the appropriate reading level.
- Foster a love of learning and reading in each student.
- Keep list of books ready for the purchase before the end of the academic year.
- Education Qualification: B Lib/ M Lib with min 2 years of experience
