Job Summary

Responsible for administration, maintenance, performance tuning, patching, upgrades, backup & recovery, and high availability management of Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) environments. Acts as the highest technical escalation point for complex ODA and Oracle database issues.

Key Responsibilities
Manage and administer Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) infrastructure.
Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain Oracle Databases (11g/12c/19c/21c/23ai).
Administer ASM, Grid Infrastructure, ACFS, ODACLI, DCS, and Oracle Linux.
Perform ODA lifecycle management, patching, and version upgrades.
Manage RMAN backups, recovery operations, and disaster recovery readiness.
Configure and support Data Guard, switchover/failover, and DR drills.
Monitor and optimize database performance using AWR, ASH, and ADDM reports.
Troubleshoot critical production issues and perform root cause analysis (RCA).
Implement database security, auditing, TDE, and compliance controls.
Automate routine DBA tasks using Shell, SQL, PL/SQL, Python, or Ansible.




Coordinate with Oracle Support for SR management and issue resolution.
Create SOPs, runbooks, technical documentation, and provide L2 team mentoring.

Experience

8+ years of Oracle DBA experience.
3+ years of hands-on Oracle ODA administration.
Experience in production support, patching, upgrades, performance tuning, and DR solutions.
