Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Physical Design (PD) Trainer to train engineering graduates and professionals in ASIC Physical Design. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in the complete Physical Design flow, industry-standard EDA tools, and mentoring candidates through projects, mock interviews, and placement preparation.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Deliver classroom and offline training on ASIC Physical Design concepts.
- Train candidates on the complete Physical Design flow from Netlist to GDSII.
- Conduct hands-on sessions using industry-standard EDA tools.
- Guide trainees on real-time project implementation and best practices.
- Prepare assignments, lab exercises, and practical scenarios.
- Review daily tasks, PPTs, scripts, and project progress.
- Conduct technical reviews, mock interviews, and evaluations.
- Mentor candidates on resume preparation and interview readiness.
- Develop and update training content based on current industry trends.
- Coordinate with the placement team to prepare candidates for interviews.
- Track trainee progress and provide constructive feedback.

- Low Power concepts (UPF/CPF is an added advantage)
- Hands-on experience with EDA tools:
- Cadence Innovus
- Synopsys ICC2
- Fusion Compiler
- PrimeTime
- Calibre
- ICV
- Good scripting knowledge in:
- Tcl
- Linux Shell
- Basic Python (preferred)

Qualifications

- B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in ECE, EEE, CSE, or related disciplines.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Passion for teaching and mentoring.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts simply and practically.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in advanced technology nodes (3nm, 5nm, 7nm, 14nm, 22nm).
- Exposure to block-level and subsystem-level implementations.
- Experience in interview panel evaluations.
- Knowledge of full-chip integration.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities in Training

- Conduct daily technical sessions.
- Assign and review practical tasks.
- Evaluate candidates through written tests and mock interviews.
- Guide candidates in project execution and documentation.
- Ensure candidates are industry-ready with hands-on tool expertise.
