Job Title: Lab Technician (Quality Laboratory)

Location: Domjur
Salary: ₹30,000 – ₹35,000 per month

Job Summary

We are looking for a Lab Technician with experience in iron and steel testing. The candidate should be capable of performing chemical, physical, and mechanical testing of raw materials and finished products while ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Collect and prepare iron, steel, and raw material samples for laboratory testing.
- Perform chemical analysis using Spectrometer, XRF, and other laboratory instruments.
- Conduct hardness testing, tensile testing using UTM (Universal Testing Machine), impact testing, and other mechanical tests.
- Prepare metallographic samples and perform microscopic examination.
- Record, analyze, and prepare accurate laboratory test reports.
- Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.
- Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
- Maintain laboratory documentation, SOPs, quality records, and ISO compliance.
- Coordinate with Production and Quality teams regarding test results and corrective actions.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and inventory of laboratory chemicals, consumables, and equipment.
- Follow all laboratory safety procedures and company policies.

Eligibility

Education

- Diploma in Chemistry OR




- Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering OR
- Laboratory Testing/Metallurgy-related qualification

Experience

- 2–5 years of experience in an iron/steel manufacturing laboratory preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Spectrometer, hardness testing equipment, and UTM is required.
- Knowledge of metallography and quality testing is an added advantage.
