Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced CNC HMC / VMC Setter Cum Programmer who can independently handle machine setting, programming, tooling selection, and production machining of precision components. The candidate should have hands-on experience in HMC, VMC machines, CNC programming, 4th Axis machining, and precision component manufacturing.

Key ResponsibilitiesCNC Machine Setting & Operation

- Set up and operate VMC & HMC CNC machining centres.
- Perform machine setting as per:
- Engineering drawings
- Process sheets
- Work instructions
- Production requirements
- Install and align:
- Fixtures
- Jigs
- Vises
- Rotary fixtures
- Cutting tools
- Set:
- Tool offsets
- Work offsets (G54–G59)
- Tool length compensation
- Wear compensation

CNC Programming

- Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs.
- Knowledge of:
- Fanuc Controller
- Mitsubishi Controller
- Siemens Controller (preferred)
- Understanding of:
- G Codes
- M Codes
- Sub programs
- Canned cycles
- Modify programs for:
- Cycle time reduction
- Quality improvement
- Tool life improvement

Machining Process Knowledge

- Experience in machining:
- Precision engineering components
- Castings
- Fabricated components
- Steel / Stainless Steel / Aluminium components
- Knowledge of:
- Cutting parameters
- Tool selection
- Insert selection
- Speeds & feeds optimization
- Troubleshoot machining issues:
- Tool breakage
- Vibration
- Dimensional variation
- Surface finish problems





4th Axis / Rotary Table Experience (Added Advantage)

- Knowledge in CNC 4th Axis rotary machining.
- Rotary table setting and alignment.
- Component clamping and fixture setting.
- Indexing and multi-face machining experience.
- Coordinate setting for rotary operations.

Quality Responsibility

- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Understand:
- GD&T;
- Tolerance requirements
- Surface finish requirements
- Perform inspection using:
- Vernier Caliper
- Micrometer
- Height Gauge
- Bore Gauge
- Measuring instruments
- Ensure first piece approval and maintain production quality.

Qualification

Education:

- ITI – Machinist / Tool & Die Maker
- Diploma – Mechanical / Production Engineering
- BE Mechanical preferred

Experience Required

Experience: 3 to 8 Years
