GEMGEM is building a global trust-first marketplace for buying and selling authenticated fine jewellery. We operate in high-value transactions where trust, clarity, and user confidence are critical.

This is not a template design job. We are looking for a product thinker who can design complete, pragmatic, implementation-ready experiences.

Core Responsibilities

- Own end-to-end design for key flows: Seller listing, Checkout, Payments, Authentication/Verification, Order tracking, Payout, Returns/Exceptions.

- Translate business goals into user journeys, IA, wireframes, high-fidelity UI, and interaction specs.

- Produce a complete “dev handoff package” for every feature:

- Responsive layouts (desktop + mobile)
- Loading/empty/error/validation/timeout states
- Edge cases, constraints, and interaction notes
- Component variants and clear annotations

- Work with Product/Engineering/QA to prevent ambiguity and reduce rework.

- Use data and user feedback to iterate:

- Funnels, drop-off points, A/B testing hypotheses
- Usability tests and rapid validation when needed

- Maintain and evolve the design system (components, tokens, patterns) to speed delivery and consistency.

Must-Have Requirements

- 5–8+ years in product design for marketplace, e-commerce, fintech, or similarly complex transactional products.





- Strong portfolio showing shipped work (not only concepts), ideally including:

- Checkout/payment flows
- Form-heavy submissions (seller onboarding/listing)
- Trust-building UX (verification, fraud prevention, high-value purchases)

- Demonstrated ability to think in states and edge cases (not only “happy path” UI).

- Proven track record of producing implementation-ready designs with minimal dev clarification.

- High proficiency in Figma (components, variants, auto layout, prototyping).

- Strong product judgement: can prioritise, make trade-offs, and decide fast.

- Explicit communication in English (written + verbal), able to defend decisions with logic and evidence.

Nice-to-Have

- Experience with luxury goods, resale marketplaces, or trust/authentication workflows.

- Familiarity with CRO, analytics tools (GA/PostHog/Hotjar), and experimentation.

- Ability to mentor junior designers and raise the quality bar.

- Basic understanding of front-end constraints and implementation realities.

What This Role Is NOT

- Not a purely visual UI role

- Not a task-execution role

- Not a “developer will ask later” design approach

We are looking for someone who designs with business logic, implementation clarity, and measurable outcomes in mind.

What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)

- Ship 2–3 core flows with complete state coverage

- Reduce design-related dev clarification cycles

- Improve at least one measurable funnel metric
