We are looking for a passionate Bakery & Pastry Commis with hands-on experience in both bakery and pastry production. The ideal candidate should be comfortable preparing breads, viennoiserie, cakes, pastries, desserts, and baked products while maintaining consistency, quality, and hygiene standards in a fast-paced kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and bake a variety of breads, buns, croissants, cookies, cakes, pastries, and desserts.
- Assist with dough preparation, proofing, baking, finishing, and decoration.
- Follow standardized recipes and production schedules to maintain consistency.
- Prepare daily mise en place for bakery and pastry operations.
- Monitor product quality, freshness, and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards as per kitchen SOPs.
- Handle bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
- Support inventory management, stock rotation (FIFO), and minimize wastage.
- Work closely with senior chefs to ensure timely production and service.

Requirements





- 1 to 3 years of experience in a professional bakery, pastry kitchen, café, hotel, or restaurant.
- Working knowledge of both bakery and pastry production.
- Basic understanding of breads, laminated doughs, cakes, pastries, desserts, and baking techniques.
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced production environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good understanding of hygiene and food safety practices.
- Culinary or Hotel Management qualification is preferred but not mandatory.

- Experience with artisan breads and viennoiserie.
- Basic cake finishing and dessert plating skills.

- Team player with good communication skills.
