- Read and understand fabrication drawings, welding symbols, and work instructions.
- Perform welding using the specified process (Arc/MMA, MIG, TIG, or as required).
- Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and aligning components before welding.
- Weld MS, SS, or other materials according to approved welding procedures.
- Ensure proper weld quality, penetration, and dimensional accuracy.
- Use measuring instruments to verify dimensions and fit-up before and after welding.
- Operate and maintain welding machines and related equipment safely.
- Follow all safety requirements, including the use of PPE such as welding helmets, gloves, safety shoes, and goggles.
- Perform grinding, chipping, and finishing of welds where required.
- Report any material defects, equipment issues, or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
- Keep the work area clean and maintain positive housekeeping practices.
- Assist with installation and erection work at the project site when required.
