Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical HOD to lead the Mechanical Maintenance Department of our Craft Paper & Thermal Paper Manufacturing Plant. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in plant maintenance, shutdown planning, machine reliability, team leadership, cost optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure safe and uninterrupted plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the complete Mechanical Maintenance function of the plant.
- Ensure maximum machine availability with minimum breakdown and downtime.
- Plan and implement Preventive, Predictive and Breakdown Maintenance strategies.
- Prepare and execute Annual Maintenance Plans and Plant Shutdown activities.
- Lead and develop Mechanical Engineers, Supervisors, Fitters, Welders and Helpers.
- Monitor and improve KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR, Machine Availability and Breakdown Hours.
- Ensure proper lubrication, alignment, balancing and condition monitoring of all critical equipment.
- Manage maintenance budget, spare parts inventory and maintenance costs.
- Coordinate with Production, Electrical, Instrumentation, Purchase and Stores Departments.
- Ensure compliance with Safety Standards, LOTO procedures and statutory requirements.
- Manage vendors,



contractors and AMC activities.
- Execute equipment installation, plant modification and continuous improvement projects.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
