Fleet Operations Manager (Bangalore / Hyderabad / Hanuman Junction)

Need an experienced Fleet Operations Manager to oversee and optimize freight operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation and fleet management, with a focus on maximizing efficiency and reducing costs.

Role & responsibilities

- Maintenance - Ensure all vehicles are in valuable condition and supervise repairs on a timely basis

- Route Planning: Analyze and optimize routes to reduce fuel consumption and increase utilization.

- Carrier Management: Build and maintain relationships with carriers, brokers to secure competitive rates for freight

- Load Matching: Identify and match return freight opportunities with available truck capacity

- Cost Control: Monitor and control costs associated with return freight, including fuel, tolls.

- Performance Metrics: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as empty km, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction.

- Team Management:



Lead and develop a team of drivers, mechanic, cleaners and providing guidance, training, and support to ensure successful operations.

- Process Improvement: Continuously identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

- Compliance: Ensure all renewals and permits are in place.

- Freight Planning: Develop and implement strategies to minimize empty km and maximize freight.

Preferred candidate profile

- Age between 30 - 40 years
- 3+ years of experience in fleet management, maintenance or transportation in South India managing a fleet over 50 vehicles
- Strong knowledge of truck repairs and maintenance
- Proven track record of success in freight management
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to lead and manage a team
