Job Title: Software QA

Reporting to: Project Manager

Location: Mumbai (HO)

Experience: 2-5 years

Education: B.sc IT/ BCA/BE

Language: English

General Description

The candidate should have knowledge of Testing process and methodologies, should have hands on experience in

UI/API Testing.

Competencies required

Functional / Technical Competencies:

Mandatory:

1. In-depth knowledge of Testing concepts and process.

2. Test case management and Execution

3. Defect Reporting and Tracking
4. SQL Server
5. UI and API Testing

Good to have:

1. Test Automation
2. Agile methodology
3. ISTQB Certification.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Test case management and Execution

- Perform functional, exploratory, user acceptance, Smoke, Sanity, Regression





- Should understand the requirements and perform complex design, maintenance of the manual test

suites following project needs
- Impact analysis of functionality

- Prepare Test artifacts like Test Plans, Test Specifications, Test Reports

- Experience with test case management tools such as Jira, Zephyr, Excel

- Identifying Test Scenarios.

- Writing Test scenarios by understanding functionality.

- Execution of Test cases and Maintaining execution log and Test data

- Conduct Peer Review

- Maintaining test case repository on timely basis

2. Defect Reporting and Tracking

- Manage defects by logging, updating status of defect and ensure successful closure of defect

- Should have experience in Defect Management tools like Jira/Mantis

- Should be able to perform RCA analysis for defect leak.

- Updating missed test cases / scenarios.

3. Agile methodology
- Experience in Project management tools like Jira

- Knowledge about scrum framework and scrum activities.

- Able to coordinate with different stake holders.

- Demonstrate domain Knowledge with client.

4. SQL Server
- Hands-on Experience in SQL Server

5. API Testing
- Should have Knowledge of REST API Testing using POSTMAN
