Solutions Architect

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to lead the technical

blueprinting of a highly scalable, enterprise-grade booking and operations platform. You will

own the software architecture, defining business logic and multi-tenant structures, while

working closely with our DevOps/Cloud Engineering team who will provision the AWS

infrastructure.

Project Overview

The project involves building an integrated, multi-location platform from the ground up. The system

manages the complete customer journey—from online booking, dynamic pricing, and online

payments, to in-person digital consent workflows, walk-in management, and complex reception

operations. The backend relies heavily on modern web stacks (React, Node.js) and is hosted

entirely on AWS.

Key Responsibilities

Architectural Design: Blueprint a "Clean Architecture" that is modular, API-first, and highly

extensible to support future business expansion (e.g., loyalty programs, international taxation,

and multi-currency support).

Multi-Tenant Strategy: Design strict application-level and database-level tenant isolation.

Ensure that data from multiple franchise locations never intersects while leveraging shared

infrastructure.

Technical Documentation: Author the comprehensive Technical Design Document (TDD).

Map out database schemas, API structures, internal services, and deployment topologies prior

to development.

Complex Business Logic Translation: Architect scalable state machines for intricate

requirements, including dynamic event-day pricing grids, 48-hour cancellation/rescheduling

validation logic, and digital signature workflows with automated S3 PDF generation.

Analytical Decoupling:



Design data pipelines that separate high-volume operational

transactions (OLTP) from historical reporting and stakeholder dashboards (OLAP), ensuring

real-time queries do not impact booking performance.

Security & RBAC: Architect a highly granular Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) matrix that

seamlessly handles permissions for super administrators, multi-location stakeholders, and

single-location staff.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 7+ years in software engineering with at least 3+ years in a dedicated Solutions

Architect or Principal Engineer role designing B2B/B2C SaaS platforms.

Tech Stack Expertise: Deep architectural knowledge of the MERN stack (MongoDB,

Express, React, Node.js) and modern microservices or modular monolith patterns.

Cloud Architecture: Strong understanding of AWS cloud-native patterns. Ability to design

architectures that a DevOps team can easily translate into infrastructure (e.g., S3, RDS,

caching layers).

Domain Knowledge: Extensive experience designing true multi-tenant database architectures

and data isolation strategies.

Deliverables: Demonstrated ability to produce extremely thorough Technical Design

Documents (TDDs), API specifications, and database entity-relationship models.

Nice to Have

Experience architecting booking systems, ticketing platforms, or complex inventory

management software.

Familiarity with digital consent logic, automated document formatting (PDFs), and payment

gateway integrations.

Previous experience working in an agile setting where architecture and DevOps run as

distinct, highly collaborative tracks.
