Job Summary

The RO Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining the Reverse Osmosis (RO) water treatment system to ensure continuous supply of safe, clean, and quality water as per required standards. The role involves routine checks, basic maintenance, troubleshooting, and record-keeping of RO plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor the RO plant on a daily basis
- Ensure proper functioning of pumps, membranes, filters, and valves
- Monitor water quality parameters such as TDS, pH, pressure, and flow rate
- Perform backwashing, chemical dosing, and membrane cleaning as required
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions or abnormalities
- Carry out basic preventive maintenance of RO plant equipment
- Maintain daily operation logs, water quality reports, and chemical consumption records
- Ensure proper handling and storage of chemicals used in RO operations
- Follow safety procedures and company SOPs during plant operation
- Coordinate with maintenance and quality teams when required
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety norms

Educational Qualification

- ITI / Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Water Treatment




- Basic knowledge of RO systems and water treatment processes preferred

Experience

- 1–3 years of experience in operating an RO or water treatment plant
- Freshers with relevant training may also be considered

Skills & Competencies

- Knowledge of RO plant operations and water treatment processes
- Ability to read gauges, meters, and control panels
- Basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills
- Understanding of water quality standards
- Attention to detail and record-keeping skills
- Ability to work in shifts, if required
- Physically fit to handle operational duties

Working Conditions

- Plant / Industrial environment
- Shift-based work may be required
- Exposure to water treatment chemicals (with safety measures)

Reporting To

- Utility Engineer / Maintenance Manager / Plant Supervisor

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
