Role Overview

- Position: Operating Theatre (OT) Technician
- Facility: AICRS Hospital, Lake Town, Kolkata
- Department: Surgical / Operation Theatre

Core Responsibilities

- Pre-Operative Preparation: Clean and strictly sterilize the operation theatre before and after procedures. Ensure the readiness of specialized surgical trays, including micro-instruments, bone drills, and implant systems required for complex craniofacial, dental, and reconstructive surgeries.
- Surgical Assistance: Work seamlessly with reconstructive surgeons, anesthetists, and scrub nurses during procedures. Anticipate the surgical team's needs, pass instruments accurately, and maintain a strict sterile field throughout lengthy operations.
- Equipment Management: Operate, calibrate, and monitor critical OT equipment, such as surgical lighting, anesthesia machines, diathermy units, suction machines, and any advanced microscopes used in reconstructive procedures.
- Patient Handling: Assist in the safe transfer and accurate positioning of patients on the operating table, ensuring the correct alignment and support necessary for delicate maxillofacial and craniofacial interventions.




- Inventory & Documentation: Maintain detailed records of sterilization cycles, track the usage of surgical consumables and implants, and ensure the prompt restocking of necessary OT supplies.

Required Competencies

- Experience: 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in a surgical setting, with a strong preference for candidates with prior exposure to reconstructive, maxillofacial, plastic, or neurosurgery environments.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of sterile techniques, infection control protocols, and the handling and maintenance of delicate micro-surgical instruments.
- Composure & Teamwork: Ability to remain calm, alert, and highly focused under pressure during complex surgeries, with rapid reflex responses to any clinical emergencies.
- Education: B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology (B.Sc. OTT) or a recognized Diploma in Operation Theatre Technology (DOTT) from an accredited institution.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹13,000.00 per month
