We are looking for an experienced and innovative Senior Manager – GIS to lead the development and implementation of AI-based geospatial models that support F4F’s carbon and ecosystem monitoring initiatives. The role involves overseeing land-use classification, satellite-based monitoring, and data integration to ensure scientific accuracy and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in GIS, remote sensing, and AI/ML applications for environmental and forestry projects.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Work with the GIS team to develop AI-based land-use classification models for assessing plot eligibility.
- Conduct thorough testing and deployment of AI-based land-use classification models.
- Support the Carbon team for control plot identification and dynamic baselining calculation for carbon credit projects.
- Ensure accurate collection of KML files from the field and verify the eligibility of all plots.
- Approve uploaded KML files,



ensuring KML quality, plot eligibility, and exclusivity of the KML files.
- Coordinate with carbon financiers to provide final KML files and associated GIS data.
- Enhance tree monitoring and ecosystem analysis using high-resolution satellite imagery.

Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in GIS, remote sensing, geoinformatics, or data science.
- Academic background in GIS, Remote Sensing, Geoinformatics, or Data Science.
- Strong understanding and practical experience in AI and ML applications.
- Proficiency in Python and data analysis.
- Experience in forest monitoring using remote sensing and AI is preferred.
- Strong understanding of satellite data and its applications in environmental monitoring and management.
