Accountabilities:





The Live Underwriter will be responsible for reviewing and approving mortgage loan applications while ensuring compliance, accuracy, and effective risk management throughout the underwriting process.
- Review and analyze mortgage loan applications to verify eligibility, completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate borrower credit, income, assets, collateral, and overall loan risk using established underwriting guidelines.
- Apply knowledge of the 4Cs of underwriting: credit, capacity, capital, and collateral, to make informed lending decisions.
- Review loan documentation, reports, inspections, and supporting data to confirm property eligibility and collateral acceptability.
- Make independent underwriting decisions based on investor, regulatory, and company guidelines.
