Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
- Union Management: Dealing with the Union during productivity-linked proposals and negotiations; resolving issues related to work content reduction; securing buy-in on recent proposals related to productivity, ergonomics, etc
- Manpower Management: Evaluating and calculating manpower requirements and capacity as per monthly plans; managing resources to meet production and distribution schedules
- Low Cost Automation: Evaluating proposals and preparing business cases for senior management; conducting cost studies, economic comparisons, and justification analysis
- New Product Launches – Work Content Optimization: Collaborating with design teams to optimize work content at the design and process level before shop floor implementation
- UEWT: Designing EWT improvements and conducting periodic reviews
- Line Balancing & Layout Optimization: Balancing lines and layouts for optimal material flow and takt time; identifying pulse points and setting up programs to optimize flow, inventory, manpower, and processes
- Operational Improvement:
Analyzing existing operations and proposing cost-justified improvements
- Bottleneck Analysis: Identifying process bottlenecks and coordinating with cross-functional teams to improve productivity
- Project Reporting: Communicating project status using appropriate tools for all identified initiatives
