Key Responsibilities:
Execute Quality control and Quality Assurance best practices
Ensure all manufacturing and fabrication processes comply with RDSO guidelines and ISO standards
Perform quality trouble shooting and problem solving
Ensure that corrective actions are delivered and non-compliance issuesare resolved on time
Enforce compliance with internal procedures to ensure thatestablished quality and process procedures are being followed by the appropriate personnel at all times
Verify that wagons are built exactly according to approved engineering blueprints
Ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met andadhering to approved budgets
Develop and maintain solid relationships withinternal and external stakeholders to ensureoptimal performance
Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage withkey stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance withthe quality strategy
Inspect and evaluate incoming material and bought-out parts
Monitor critical welding processes on wagons and assemblies, enforce and interpret Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)
Ensure dimensional compliance through checking, analytics and quality planning
Check surface cleanliness, grit blasting quality and dry film thickness (DFT) of paint
Implement Lean manufacturing and 5S principles to reduce production time and minimize material wastage
