We are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our Utility-Scale Solar PV Engineering team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in detailed engineering for large-scale solar projects and be capable of delivering high-quality engineering packages from the initial design stage through IFC (Issued for Construction).
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed engineering deliverables for utility-scale Solar PV projects.
Design DC and AC systems, including string sizing, inverter layouts, combiner box layouts, cable sizing, and cable management drawings.
Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), equipment layouts, General Arrangement (GA) drawings, and conduit plans.
Perform voltage drop, power loss, cable ampacity, and short-circuit current calculations.
Develop DC, MV, and fiber-optic cable routing plans, trench cross-sections, and grounding layouts.
Prepare equipment installation details and electrical construction drawings.
Coordinate with Civil, Structural, SCADA,



Protection & Control, and Substation engineering teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Review vendor drawings and technical submittals to ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, and industry standards.
Optimize engineering designs to improve constructability, reduce costs, and enhance project efficiency.
Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), material specifications, cable schedules, and engineering calculation reports.
Ensure compliance with client requirements and applicable standards, including NEC, IEEE, IEC, and local utility regulations.
Support engineering activities through the IFC (Issued for Construction), construction, commissioning, and as-built documentation stages.

Required Skills
Minimum 2 years of experience in US utility-scale Solar PV detailed engineering.
Robust understanding of DC, AC, MV, and HV electrical systems.
