Job Description – Operations Control & Quality Control (QC)
About the Role
Establish and manage a robust operations control and quality assurance framework across policy lifecycle processes ensuring accuracy, compliance, risk control, and superior customer experience.
Responsibilities
Quality Control & Assurance
Implement QC frameworks across underwriting, policy issuance, endorsement, and claims documentation.
Conduct pre-issuance and post-issuance quality checks.
Ensure adherence to KYC norms, documentation completeness, and accuracy.
Identify defects and implement corrective actions.
Maintain QC dashboards and scorecards.
Operations Control & Governance
Define SOPs and enforce governance across operations.
Ensure controls on issuance, endorsement, and financial processes.
Drive audit readiness and implement maker-checker controls.
Prevent fraud and operational leakages.
Compliance & Regulatory Adherence
Ensure compliance with IRDAI, AML, KYC and DPDP norms.
Embed compliance checks within operational workflows.
Process Excellence & Transformation
Drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
Collaborate with IT for workflow and QC automation.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Track KPIs such as QC accuracy, rework rates, and TAT.
Publish performance dashboards.
Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with underwriting, claims, sales, and finance teams.
Conduct training and process standardization initiatives.
Team Management
Lead QC teams and monitor productivity and accuracy.
Build team capability on insurance operations and compliance.
Qualifications
Graduate/Postgraduate (MBA preferred)
8–15 years in General Insurance operations
Experience in QC, audit, and process governance
Knowledge of IRDAI regulations
