Inkarp Instruments Services is looking for an Engineer – Customer Support to join our team in Kolkata. The ideal candidate should have 3–4 years of experience in analytical and laboratory instruments service support. This role involves installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer support activities for scientific and analytical instruments at customer locations.
Key Responsibilities
Installation, calibration, and commissioning of analytical and laboratory instruments
Perform preventive maintenance and breakdown service support at customer sites
Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and application-related issues
Respond to customer service requests in a timely and qualified manner
Coordinate with internal teams for technical support and spare parts requirements
Maintain service reports, maintenance records, and customer documentation
Provide customer training and operational guidance when required
Promote and manage AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) activities
Support after-sales service activities and ensure customer satisfaction
Travel within assigned territory for field service activities
Required Qualifications
Diploma / Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Biomedical, or related field
3–4 years of experience in analytical instruments, laboratory instruments, or customer support/service engineering
Basic understanding of analytical instrumentation and electronic systems
Good communication skills in English (verbal and written)
Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, email handling, reporting)
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
Hands-on experience with analytical or scientific instruments such as FTIR, HPLC, GC, Spectroscopy, etc.
Customer-centric mindset with professional service attitude
Ability to work independently and manage field assignments
