Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with solid expertise in Property & Casualty (P&C;) Insurance applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in developing enterprise applications using Java technologies and a solid understanding of insurance business processes such as Policy Administration, Claims, Billing, Underwriting, or Rating.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Java applications for P&C; Insurance.
Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot.
Collaborate with business analysts, QA, and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Perform unit testing, code reviews, and debugging to ensure application quality.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
Support production deployments and resolve production issues.

Required Skills

5+ years of hands-on experience in Java development.




Strong expertise in Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate/JPA.
Experience with REST APIs, Microservices architecture, and SQL databases.
Knowledge of Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging platforms.
Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
Good understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is preferred.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Domain Experience

Mandatory experience in Property & Casualty (P&C;) Insurance.
Strong understanding of Policy Administration, Claims, Billing, Underwriting, Rating, or Insurance workflows.
Experience with insurance core systems such as Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, or similar platforms is an added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native development is preferred.
