The Role: APD mandate is to create awareness and sensitivity with all stake -holders
including Corporates, Civil Society, Government, Academia, Health professionals,
Researchers, Lawmakers, Foundations other NGOs, Care -givers and Persons with
disability. Towards this end, the Director Fundraising will be required to:
ï· Drive CSR fund flow into APD from current donors and existing donors.
ï· Maintain highest levels of engagement with existing donors through structured donor
delight programs.
ï· Look for and empanel with new donors in the corporate sector (manufacturing, retail,
banking, IT etc.) to leverage their large CSR budgets.
ï· She/he will have to source corporates who are aligned in their CSR Vision and
budgets for the sectors we run our programs.
ï· Engage with donor foundations, platforms, multinational funding organizations
etc. and bring them on board to fund our programs.
ï· Research and develop fundraising opportunities
ï· Develop strategies to generate income from various other sources




ï· Contact & Build network/relationship with potential individual donors (Especially
HNIs) and raise funds for activities of the organizationSet financial targets for fundraising activities and develop strategies to attain them.
ï· Maintain database of international and local donors.
ï· As leaders in the Disability space in Karnataka, APD is often invited to participate in
national and international events and as such the Director Fundraising.
ï· Work with creative teams to make and distribute collaterals. He/ She is also
charged with the responsibility of organizing events to further the cause.
ï· The Director - Fundraising will oversee quality, production and distribution of all
communication and collaterals prepared by other Operations/ Programs team to
ensure consistent brand positioning under guidance of Sr.Director Fundraising.
