* About the Role
* We are looking for a seasoned and strategic Head of Database Engineering to
own and evolve our entire database ecosystem. This is a senior leadership role
that goes beyond operations — you will define the long-term database strategy,
drive architectural decisions, lead a high-performing team, and ensure our
systems are secure, scalable, and cost-efficient across our multi-cloud
workplace (GCP & AWS).

* Strategic & Architectural Leadership
* Define and execute a long-term database strategy aligned with business
objectives, focusing on scalability, resilience, and security
* Lead all architectural decisions across database solutions with a
security-by-design approach across GCP and AWS
* Drive aggressive cost optimization strategies and provide regular reporting
on efficiency and savings
* Research and evaluate emerging database technologies to modernize our stack
and drive upgrade/consolidation initiatives
* Proactively forecast capacity needs to support growing user base,
transaction volumes, and data loads
