DESCRIPTION:
Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Database Administrator III and contribute to serving science globally. In this role, you'll work with advanced technologies to deliver effective database solutions while collaborating with AWS architects and fellow IT professionals. You'll design and implement scalable database services, develop comprehensive reports and dashboards,
and ensure the consistent operation of our database environments through strategic automation.
As a technical resource, you'll be responsible for the design, installation, and deployment of sophisticated database landscapes while staying current with the latest industry trends in RDMS, Data Warehouse, and Application Integration Platforms. You'll contribute to enterprise data technology standards, implement robust security measures, and support critical business initiatives in an agile environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Advanced Degree plus 3 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of experience in database services
• Preferred Fields of Study: Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Relevant certifications are valued
• Strong proficiency in database technologies including Oracle, MySQL, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/OCI)
• Expert knowledge of T-SQL, PL/SQL, and Python development
• Experience with database security manage
