Role Overview

The Staff Nurse will play a key role in the field implementation of the project at the district level by supporting screening activities, managing school-based health logistics, and coordinating follow-up care for presumptive TB cases. The Nurse will work closely with students,



families, school authorities, the Clinician, and government health services to ensure effective referral and documentation of clinical care pathways.

Screening and Field Coordination:
- Assist in the organisation and execution of school-based TB symptom screening activities in coordination with the District Coordinator and Study Counsellors.
- Support school and community-level visits, helping to conduct basic health checks and documenting symptom reports.
- Identify students needing further clinical assessment and coordinate timely referral to the Clinician or public health facility.

Clinical and Nursing Support:
- Assist the Clinician during field visits and clinical evaluations.
- Provide basic nursing care and support during school screening events.
- Ensure confidentiality, safety, and ethical conduct during student interactions.
