The Finance Executive will manage end-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate financial records, timely payments/collections, and smooth reconciliation of marketplace transactions. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with e-commerce platforms and their settlement structures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounts Payable (AP)
- Process vendor invoices, purchase orders, and credit notes with accuracy.
- Verify inventory purchase bills, logistics invoices, packaging material bills, and service invoices.
- Track due dates and ensure timely vendor payments.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams for GRN (Goods Receipt Note) matching.
Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Track customer and marketplace receivables (Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, Shopify, etc.).
- Reconcile payment settlements, commissions, TCS/TDS deductions, returns, and claims.
- Ensure timely follow-up for outstanding payments or short payments.
- Prepare aging reports and update collection status.
E-Commerce Accounting
- Reconcile marketplace dashboards with accounting books.
- Verify order-wise revenue, returns, cancellations, and discounts.
- Work on payment gateway reconciliations (Razorpay, PayU, Cashify, etc.).
- Validate GST, TCS, marketplace fee and commission calculations.
- Assist in monthly closing, ensuring all revenue and expense entries are posted.
General Accounting & Reporting
- Maintain accurate ledgers for AP, AR, and vendor/customer accounts.
- Support audits by preparing schedules, statements, and documentation.
- Assist in preparing MIS reports sales, payouts, expense reports, profitability, etc.
- Coordinate with internal teams for data accuracy and timely reporting.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, commerce, finance or related field.
- 1-4 years of experience in AP/AR or e-commerce accounting.
