The E/E architecture in the area of driver assistance is characterized by a multitude of interconnected systems, for which adequate measures must be taken within the framework of safety-oriented development to prevent and control possible malfunctions as well as to protect against manipulation and cyber-attacks. The international standards ISO 26262 (Functional Safety), ISO 8800 (Safe AI), ISO 21448 (SOTIF / Safety of the Intended Functionality), and the introduction of the approval regulation UN R155 for automotive cybersecurity (along with ISO 21434) emphasize the importance of this topic. What to expect?
- As a Senior Safety Engineer (m/f/x), you will be responsible for creating the required safety evidence, safety concepts,



and analyses for driver assistance development projects, working closely with the respective function developers. You ensure that the necessary proofs for Functional Safety, SOTIF, and Cyber Security are available at the respective milestones, plan the activities, and monitor progress.
- You analyze and evaluate new customer functions regarding their safety relevance and derive safety goals accordingly. In doing so, you also continuously improve methods and tools.
- Your diverse tasks include hazard and risk analysis of the overall system chain as well as safety analyses (e.g., FTA, DFA, HAZOP).
