Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled L2 System Administrator to manage and scale our mission-critical on-premises infrastructure. You will be the primary engine for maintaining our virtualization stack and Linux ecosystem. The ideal candidate must have hands-on expertise in RHEL, Ubuntu, KVM, ESXi, and leverage Kubernetes, Ansible, and Terraform to automate deployment workflows.
Key ResponsibilitiesVirtualization & On-Prem Infrastructure

ESXi & VMware: Manage, patch, and optimize vSphere clusters, vCenter, and ESXi hosts. Handle resource allocation, HA, DRS, and vMotion.

KVM & Linux Virtualization: Administer KVM-based environments, including Proxmox or libvirt management, ensuring high performance for virtualized workloads.

Hardware Management: Perform health checks and firmware updates on physical server hardware (Dell, HP, or Cisco).
Linux Administration (RHEL & Ubuntu)

Manage the full lifecycle of RHEL and Ubuntu servers,
including OS installation, hardening (STIGs/CIS), and kernel tuning.

Conduct advanced troubleshooting of system bottlenecks (CPU, Memory, I/O) and network connectivity issues.

Maintain local repositories and patch management systems (Satellite, Landscape, or Apt mirror).
DevOps & Container Orchestration

Kubernetes & Docker: Deploy and maintain production-grade Kubernetes clusters on-prem. Manage container runtimes (Docker/containerd) and troubleshoot pod/service failures.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Use Terraform to provision local infrastructure and Ansible for configuration management and day-two operations.

CI/CD & GitOps: Build and maintain Jenkins pipelines. Implement GitOps workflows (e.g., ArgoCD or Flux) to ensure the infrastructure state matches the Git repository.
