Job Description:
Join Materials, Processes & Test department
- To perform Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) assessment for aerospace materials and processes.
- To ensure global compliance, manage strategic material risks.
- To contribute to larger Airbus sustainability objectives.

Your Main Responsibilities
- Substance Analysis & Chemical Mapping: Evaluate and document the chemical composition of complex aerospace materials (metallic alloys, polymers, advanced composites, and coatings) and its associated regulatory risks
- Regulatory Compliance & Risk Mitigation: Maintain strict adherence to global environmental regulations including REACH, RoHS, AD-DSL, TSCA and specific aerospace industry restrictions. Assess the impact of sunset chemical bans on current and future manufacturing.
- CSRM Supply Chain Management: Identify, track, and develop mitigation strategies for Critical and Strategic Raw Materials (CSRM) to protect against supply chain vulnerabilities and geopolitical risks.
- Environmental Stewardship & LCA: Conduct screening Life Cycle Assessments (LCA)



to quantify the carbon footprint and environmental impacts of materials from raw extraction to end-of-life.
- Material Circularity & Eco-Design: Collaborate with R&D; and manufacturing teams to implement circular economy principles, maximizing the recyclability and reuse of aerospace alloys and composites.
- AI & Automation: Understanding of how to use AI for regulatory monitoring and substance characterization, supply chain risk prediction and also collaborating with IT to implement "Eco-Design" practices and productive data management for product-related software.

Who We Are Looking For
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Chemistry.
- Experience: 6-8 years of experience in materials compliance, substance analysis, or environmental stewardship within a highly regulated industry (Aerospace, Defense, or Automotive preferred)
