Accountant

Role Summary

We are looking for a Accountant with strong experience in a digital marketing / advertising agency setup. The candidate must independently manage client billing, receivables, GST compliance, and coordination with an outsourced CA, ensuring smooth financial operations across the agency.

Location: New Delhi(South Delhi)

Compensation: ₹3.5 – ₹4 LPA (Based on Experience)

Key Responsibilities Client Billing & Receivables

- Generate monthly retainer invoices, campaign-based invoices, and project invoices
- Track client POs, agreements, scopes of work, and billing timelines
- Coordinate with internal account managers for billing approvals
- Follow up with clients for invoice payments, outstanding balances, and payment commitments
- Maintain client-wise ageing, receivables, and outstanding reports

GST, TDS & CA Coordination

- Prepare and manage GST-compliant invoicing
- Coordinate with the outsourced CA for:




- GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B)
- TDS filings and challans
- Income tax compliance and audits
- Ensure all data, reports, and documents are shared with the CA accurately and on time
- Handle GST reconciliation, input credit tracking, and corrections
- Independently manage GST filings if required

Agency Accounting Operations

- Handle day-to-day accounting entries, ledgers, and bank reconciliations
- Record and monitor agency expenses, subscriptions, tools, vendor bills, and campaign spends
- Track media spends (Meta, Google, tools) and reconcile with invoices
- Ensure correct revenue recognition for retainers and campaigns

Vendor & Payment Management

- Process vendor, freelancer, influencer, and partner payments
- Verify invoices, contracts, and payment terms
- Track payables and payment schedules

Reporting & Controls

- Prepare monthly MIS, P&L;, cash flow, and client profitability reports
- Track client-wise and projectwise margins
- Flag delays, discrepancies, and compliance risks to management

Required Skills & Experience

- 4–5 years of accounting experience in a digital marketing / advertising / creative agency
- Solid understanding of agency billing models, retainers, and campaign invoicing
- Hands-on experience with GST filing, reconciliation, and compliance
- Experience coordinating with outsourced CA firms
- Proficiency in Tally / ERP systems
- Good communication and follow-up skills

Preferred Candidate

- Self-driven and detail-oriented
- Comfortable handling multiple clients and deadlines
- Strong ownership of finance operations
