- BE (Computer Science / IT) / MCA / M.Sc. (Computer Science or equivalent)

Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer with strong experience in functional and API testing, particularly within the US Healthcare domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of applications by designing, executing, and maintaining effective test strategies in an Agile environment.

Technical Skills: Testing & Tools

- API Testing: Postman (preferred)
- Test Management & Defect Tracking Tools: Jira, Test Director, Bugzilla, Mantis, TFS, Quality Center

Database:

- SQL (query writing and validation)

Domain Knowledge:

- US Healthcare Systems
- Standards: HIPAA, HL7

Methodology:

- Agile (Scrum)

Key Responsibilities:

- Understand and analyze requirement documentation including user stories,functional flow diagrams, and requirement specifications
- Convert business and functional requirements into comprehensive test cases and test scenarios




- Design and write test scripts with clear input and exit criteria (expected results)
- Execute test cases, record results, and ensure defect-free delivery
- Perform functional, regression, and database testing
- Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman
- Collaborate with stakeholders during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate results
- Maintain detailed defect lifecycle including classification, tracking, reporting, and analysis
- Work closely with cross-functional and global teams in an Agile (Scrum) setup

Required Skills & Competencies:

- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes
- Hands-on experience in API testing, SQL queries, and database validation
- Experience in web application testing
- Solid knowledge of defect tracking and reporting practices
- Ability to create and manage test plans and test cases of varying complexity
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
- Solid communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
